TN Belt Conveyors are designed exclusively for the transport of foundry sand. Module solid construction, with easy mainenance are the essential characteristics of this equipment.

 

The design and the manufacture of these conveyors are based on years of experience acquired during many years of supplying mines, quarries and foundries.

 

These conveyors are very solidly constructed and only use the best standard components available from the market.

 

The main structure is composed of modular elements connected by angles and bolted junction plates. The sides are made of shaped plate designed not to collect dust. The structure design avoids material spillage at the return course of the belt.

 

The drive drum is manufactured with heavy section steel tube, with high thickness flanges with turned central hubs.

 

The shafts are made in alloyed steel, turned and equipped with Bikon cone couplings, mounted on self-aligning bearings, in cast iron supports, with dust proof devices.

 

A directly coupled motor reduction box, with "splash" lubrication is assembled on the drive shaft and connected to the drive unit by a torque arm. Where necessary it is equipped with an anti-reverse device.

 

The drive head is manufactured in electro-welded carbon steel plate, set to host the belt scraper and the de-dusting hood.

 

The belt tensioning and take-up unit is composed of steel angles with two large diameter "acme" threaded screws.

 

Take-up and snub idler are squirrel cage design, mounted on high thickness welded flanges. The idle shaft is made to the same specification as the drive shaft and again fitted with Bikon cone couplings and bearings, as before.

 

The belt cleaning device is provided with tungsten carbide scraping blades and is assembled on an articulated arm equipped with elastic suspension. An external lever allows for the adjustment of scraper pressure on the belt.

 

 

 

 

 

All rollers are of the heavy duty sealed type, with permanent lubrication and are installed in a supporting frame.

 

The conveyors are equipped with mesh guards, in correspondence with all hazardous points, to comply with the most restrictive safety rules and norms.

 

Grab ropes for emergency stops are provided on both sides of the conveyor.

 

A rotation sensor, placed on the take-up drum, keeps under control the correct operation of the equipment and in case of belt stop or slow down due to failure or overload, produces an automatic alarm to the control panel.
