The TCR Fluidized Bed Cooler is enjoying great success among the most modern foundries, both as first supply equipment and as replacement of other systems.

 

The base frame is constructed from a very heavy, completely welded steel fabrication. This firmly supports the oscillating trough.

The trough suspension system is based on a number of coil spring units in conjunction with side mounted leaf springs.

The longitudinal bottom chamber, under the fluid bed trough made from mild steel plating, is subdividied in several separated chambers. Each one is fitted with air inlet spigots, equipped with adjustable butterfly valves.

 

 

 

 

This feature allows for the correct adjustment of the air draft through the sand: more intense at the inlet where the sand is more hot and wet, more gentle towards the outlet where the sand is more cold and dry.

 

The micro-perforated bed is manufactured from stainless steel panels, to give long life as well as negligable sand scale build-up.

Vibration is provided by an adjustable speed electric motor driving a crankshaft connected with tie rods to the oscillating trough.

Space TCR cooler, in conjunction with the MU Pre-Mixer and the PGF Moisture Control Equipment ensures the best performance & efficiency in the return sand reconditioning process.

Important energy savings, scrap reduction and lower operation costs are enjoyed by our many users.

 

A well-developed management system allows for the automatic adjustment of air and water volumes according to the true quantity, temperature and moisture of return sand. Several sensors are strategically installed and allow the measurement of main physical parameters and through a well adapted software, automatically produce the corrective actions. From all of the equipment installed it has been possible to learn the following advantages thanks to the correct use of the typical Space return sand philosophy:
